𝐇𝐀𝐏𝐏𝐄𝐍𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐍𝐎𝐖! Capacity building for forestry field officials in Bhutan 16th – 18th March, 2021 Nature Conservation Division and Department of Forest and Park Services (DoFPS), Govt. Organization (DoFPS) have prioritized mapping of HWC hotspots at the national level. The aim is to identify areas under high risk of HWC, understand the interactions, analyse possible drivers, and prioritize conservation efforts. For this, frontline workers must possess adequate skills to map and understand HWC dynamics and prioritize mitigation measures. The

Collaboration as a practice becomes more important than ever now. Collaboration between organizations is essential to ensure better planning and a more efficient use of resources. BFL felt that there are many areas in the BFL project landscape where relevant stakeholders can collaborate. BFL as a donor agency brought relevant stakeholders together to work towards the achievement of a common goal especially pertaining to Eco-tourism programs. BFL presented Ecotourism activities under BFL year 2019-2020 and Ecotourism activities planned for year 2021.

The meeting discussed on the achievements of project in 2020, status and investment of funds, funds released and expenditures reported in 2020, endorsed the Annual Workplan and Budget for 2021. The meeting also discussed the impact of CoVID-19 pandemic on the project implementation, probable impacts for 2021 and measures to mitigate and minimize the impact on the project.
