The meeting discussed on the achievements of project in 2020, status and investment of funds, funds released and expenditures reported in 2020, endorsed the Annual Workplan and Budget for 2021. The meeting also discussed the impact of CoVID-19 pandemic on the project implementation, probable impacts for 2021 and measures to mitigate and minimize the impact on the project.
The Board members unanimously elected Mr. Michael Philipp as the Board Chair for the next two years (2021-2022) and Dasho Rinzin Dorji, Honourable Secretary, Ministry of Agriculture and Forest as Vice Chair (2021-2022). The Board members congratulated the new chair on behalf of Board, Fund Secretariat, BFL-PCU and Implementing Partners and also thanked the outgoing Chair Dasho Rinzin Dorji for his contribution and dedication to the project.
The Board of Trustees of BFL Fund consist of three members representing the Royal Government of Bhutan, one eminent member appointed by His Majesty the King and Five members representing the non-Government Bhutan for Life donors. The Board of Trustees meeting is conducted twice a year in July and December.
