Mr. Chimi Rinzin is a Member of the Bhutan for Life Board of Trustees. He currently serves as the Country Director of WWF-Bhutan, a position he assumed on August 1, 2022. In this role, he leads the organization’s conservation programs and strategic partnerships, working closely with communities, civil society organizations, NGOs, and government agencies to advance Bhutan’s environmental and sustainable development agenda.
Mr. Rinzin holds a Master of Science in Natural Resource Management from the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), Bangkok, Thailand, and brings over 20 years of professional experience in environment and natural resource management, sustainable development, and climate change. His career reflects demonstrated leadership in organizational growth, policy and program development, resource mobilization, and results-oriented execution, underpinned by strong networks and partnerships across government and development sectors.
Prior to joining WWF-Bhutan, he served as a Portfolio Specialist for Climate Change Adaptation and Disaster Risk Reduction at UNDP Bhutan.
