Ms. Deki Wangmo

Ms. Deki Wangmo serves as a Member of the Bhutan for Life Board of Trustees, representing the Department of Planning, Budget and Performance, Ministry of Finance.

She currently holds the position of Director of the Department, a role she assumed in 2021. With over 23 years of extensive experience in financial management and national budgeting, Ms. Wangmo brings deep institutional knowledge and strategic insight to the Board. Prior to her current appointment, she served as the Chief Budget Officer at the Department of National Budget.

Ms. Wangmo also served as an Advisor to the Executive Director, EDS 12, representing Bhutan, Bangladesh, India, and Sri Lanka at the World Bank Headquarters in Washington, D.C., where she contributed to regional financial and policy engagements.

She holds a Master’s Degree in Applied Finance from the Queensland University of Technology, Australia, complemented by a strong academic background in Economics, Finance, and Business Management.
