Bhutan for Life Fund Secretariat organised a half day meeting today (11 December 2020) on Innovative Financing to source long-term sustainable financing for Protected Area Network after Bhutan for Life Fund exit at the end of 14th year.

BFL has 𝟒 𝐆𝐎𝐀𝐋𝐒 , 𝟏𝟔 𝐌𝐈𝐋𝐄𝐒𝐓𝐎𝐍𝐄𝐒 and 𝟖1 𝐀𝐂𝐓𝐈𝐕𝐈𝐓𝐈𝐄𝐒 within the project landscape.

The meeting discussed on the LEAD AGENCY and TASK FORCE from all the relevant agencies to spearhead in operationalising the milestone sixteen on development and implementation of new sustainable financing mechanisms for Protected Area Network.

The meeting was attended by officials from Gross National Happiness Commission, Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Economic Affairs, Ministry of Agriculture and Forest, Tourism Council of Bhutan and discussed on taking forward the innovative financing mechanism.
